2016 A Travel Blogger’s Year in Review

As 2016 draws to a close, I spent a week with my family reflecting on all of the wonderful changes this year brought to my life. In January I started my travel blog, in June I left my day job to launch my tutoring business full-time, and in September I moved into a new home with heat one one that hopefully won’t flood. I visited many countries around the world visiting old friends and making countless new friends. It was a pleasant walk down memory lane as I took time to review my first year as a travel blogger.

Here’s a quick review by the numbers:

June 2016

Crane Beach Barbados

Crane Beach, Barbados. I knew I had to visit the Crane Hotel in Barbados as soon as I saw these beautiful plunge pools overlooking the ocean.

July 2016

Geneva, Switzerland. I had the honor of visiting one of my best friend’s in Switzerland to celebrate her marriage!

August 2016

New York, NY In August, I celebrated my 30th birthday and had the chance to visit the pop up Museum of Ice Cream.

September 2016

New York, NY September was a month of many firsts. I moved into my new apartment, my mom and sister met me in Philadelphia to visit my grandmother, I attended fashion week for the first time, and I visited the Experiential Orchestra at Lincoln Center.

October 2016

I booked a sunrise flight to Orlando for a work conference to capture this wingshot.

November 2016

Oistins, Barbados. One of my favorite memories from Barbados was dining seaside and watching the SunSet at Cafe Luna.

December 2016

Washington, Mo. Home for the Holidays and visiting my cousins at the lovely downtown riverfront area.

It’s not often that I sit down and think about how fortunate I’ve been to travel but posts like this put things into perspective.
