4 Reasons to Visit Martinique This Winter
I had the pleasure of joining the Martinique Tourism board at Le Bernadin in NYC in September 2017 to learn about this magnificent Caribbean island. I learned of the delicious food, the fabulous culture, the beautiful sights around the island, and most importantly, how to get there! Hopefully this will inspire you to visit Martinique this winter! I know it’s on my bucket list!
The beautiful island of Martinique has a strong French influence (so you know the food will be fabulous). Columbus and his crew were the first Europeans to sight the island, and it hosted its first European “tourists” in 1502 (so you know the hospitality runs deep as well). Martinique is currently a department of France.

Oh, my! I wish I lived in one of those cities. Those flight prices are insane! I didn’t know that the island had a strong French influence. I am all about food when I travel, so I’m sure the food here is amazing.

You can’t go wrong when you find cheap flights like that to a Caribbean island. I have not been to Martinique yet, but I would love to go. The French influence reminds me of St. Martin.
